Ladies I'm so happy with my Pre-K class, the first day I was a bit overwhelmed and I felt like a new teacher. I am amazed of how much difference 1 year makes, my 4 year-old students are almost babies! They don't get humor yet so they hardly laugh at my jokes, but they stay entertained with simple manipulatives, they love music and they like to dance. They also believe in puppets, I did a puppet show today and they totally forgot I was the one making the silly voice, they loved it. I haven't had many criers, only 2 but once their moms left they were alright. And then there's the tiniest and cutest little boy, he is the youngest one too, he's had a hard time understanding the rules but I wish I could put him in my pocket and take him home, he's so stinkin' cute!

Hi ladies! It's been a great week at work, tomorrow is the first day of school, I'm excited about seeing the students again but I'm also nervous about the crying, I hope I don't have many criers. This is what I wore today, I had planned to wear it with my refashioned belt but it didn't match the outfit so I had to improvise and make a sash belt. The top was very easy to make, I used part of the New Look 6003 pattern for the peplum.

Saturday night I kept thinking about returning back to work and had a hard time sleeping. The next day I woke up really late for church, I heard my alarm and thought I would just sleep 15 more minutes and well... you know how that goes, by the time I woke we had missed the morning service. Today I went back to work, we had to dress professional for the first hour to watch our district's convocation. After that we were allowed to change into more comfortable clothes and work in our classrooms. I'm exhausted but I got a lot done. This is what I wore to work today.

Yesterday I went to the mall looking for a bow belt to wear with the top I'm currently working on. I found this cute belt, unfortunately it was missing a stone, but broken things never stop me if I can figure out how to make them work and if I can get a discount. I came home and tried to take off the other stone but after using pliers, hammer and knife the sucker didn't come off, I was about to give up and then it occurred to me that I could just wrap it with fabric. I can't wait to wear it with the refashioned top I'm working on!

Next week I go back to work, I'm actually looking forward to it, except the first week is all boring trainings from 8 to 4 for four long days. I'm one of those people that has a really hard time staying seated for long periods of time, hopefully I'll find something to keep myself occupied and still be able to pay attention.

Hi ladies! Today I wanted to show you my refashioned shoes, I've had these canvas Old Navy shoes for a long time and I really like them, the only problem is that they got dirty and yellowish after a few years. I decided they needed a makeover so I painted them black using acrylic paint, once it dries it becomes permanent. Here are the before and after pictures.

Hi ladies! Yesterday I spent the day refashioning two dresses I thrifted and they came out so cute, unfortunately they are both polyester and there is no way I'm going to wear them in this heat. I'll have to wait until the Fall. I don't know if you can see my "new" quilt but I thrifted (and washed) it yesterday, I love romantic looking quilts and best of all it was only $12.99 at Goodwill.
