The last couple of days have been very busy, both at home and at work. Tomorrow is the last day of school for students, Saturday will be the last for me and I can't even express how excited and ready I am for the Summer break. By the way, the necklace I wanted in the post below? I didn't find it (bummer). Oh well, you win some, you loose some. Hope everyone has a great Friday, I just hope I can survive!

After taking a break from thrifting, I decided to make a quick stop after church at one of my favorite thrift stores, I found a few nice vintage necklaces, but one (my favorite) didn't have a price tag on it so the girl refused to sell it to me. I left the store broken hearted but I plan on going back tomorrow to see if they put a price on it. I really, reaaaally hope it will still be there!

Hi everyone! Tomorrow we are having Field Day at my school, I'm not sure whether I'll be able to keep up with my twenty-two 5-year-olds, but I'm going to try my best. Everyone is excited about Field Day, but what I'm more excited about are the 8 days left of school! Oh yeah baby the countdown has begun!!

Last time it was Tinker Bell's skirt today is Minnie Mouse's, what can I say? I seem to love cartoon-inspired skirts. Today's plans include going to the movies to see The Avengers for the second time, it was a good movie and my friends haven't seen it yet so we're tagging along. Have a great weekend everyone!

This morning when I yielded the right of way to a vehicle on the road, the driver waved to say thanks. I like when people do that. However, I get annoyed when people don't wave to say thanks =P, it's almost as annoying as when you hold the door for someone and then that person completely passes you by and ignores you. Do you have any pet peeves? This is what I wore to work today. I really need to start looking at the camera.

I can tell Summer is just around the corner because I can take outfit pictures before I leave the house for work, the sun is so bright that there is enough light for pictures. Two and a half more weeks and we'll be done with school, I'm so excited and looking forward to a much needed Summer vacation.

This is what I wore to church today, I love this flowy dress so much, I bought it at F21, I was excited when I found it because usually their dresses don't fit me. The best thing about it is that, with every step I take, the fabric just flows along. I feel like I should be in Dancing with the stars in this dress, although that would probably not be a good idea, since I have two left feet. Ladies have a great Sunday!

One of the good things about being a Mexican-American mom is that I get to celebrate Mother's Day twice. In Mexico, Mother's Day is celebrated on May 10th, regardless of what day it falls on. My family has carried on with this tradition throughout the years even though we live in the United States. Yesterday my son and I went on a dinner date to celebrate the day and this weekend we are taking my mom out to celebrate with us. We are also planning to see The Avengers, I can't wait for the weekend.

One of the funniest things about my little ones is how they take things in a literal manner. For example, today I asked my students to write a complete sentence telling me the ingredients they like in their sandwich. One of my boys wrote: Complete sentence cheese. Yeap...or the other day when I reminded them that no one could get up unless they raised their hand, what did my girl do? She raised her hand and walked towards me with her hand up, asked me a question and went back to her seat still holding her hand up, she didn't ask permission to get up, but she reminded me as she was walking that she had her hand up. You gotta love them, they are hilarious!

Hi ladies, thank you all for your thoughts and prayers, my mom is back at home and she's recovering well. Yesterday I took the day off to stay with her and ran into a student's parent, I don't like to run into parents when I take off from work because I feel awkward having to explain why I'm not at school. Today was a beautiful cool, cloudy, day. This is what I wore to work, this morning I had a really hard time figuring out what to wear, in the end, and with little time left, I just pulled out this LBD I hadn't worn in a while. Moody girl alert! See those sleepy eyes? lack of sleep, hopefully tonight I'll get plenty of rest.
