Sunday Best: Shoe Refashion

Hi ladies! Today I wanted to show you my refashioned shoes, I've had these canvas Old Navy shoes for a long time and I really like them, the only problem is that they got dirty and yellowish after a few years. I decided they needed a makeover so I painted them black using acrylic paint, once it dries it becomes permanent. Here are the before and after pictures.
Before
After
And here's how I wore them to church today...
Vintage sequin top: thrifted
Skirt: made by me
Shoes: old/ refashioned by me
Headband: F21
Hair tutorial: here
Lips: m.a.c. Ruby Woo

Hope everyone has a safe weekend!

hey, i just stumbled across your blog, but I absolutely love it. Everything-from the layout to your killer sense of style-is amazing. I especially love this look. You look stunning! Those diy shoes are to die for, and I adore how you styled them with that cute skirt. You really know how to showcase the diversability (not a word, but I'm just going to use it) of the garment. I am your newest fan. Could you check out my blog at www.rogue-collection.blogspot.com as well? i would love to follow each other. Thanks :)

Very cute! You're such a smarty when it comes to making things new! Do you go back to school this week?

A great fix! The polka dots are subtle but still adorable.

Yes, I think I'll be able to wear them more often now because black is easier to mix and match with anything in my closet, unlike polka dots.

PomPom I return to work soon, I just have one more week of vacation, and I'm actually looking forward to going back to work because that means that temperatures will be cooling off soon. =D

Hi Shey! This is a fabulous refashion. The shoes look quite dressy now with that subtle tone-on-tone print. They make quite a good match for your sequin top.

These look amazing!! I love that you can still just see the polka dots through the black, makes them just that little bit more fun =) They look really pretty with your skirt!

It's cool that you found a way to refashion those shoes instead of getting new ones.
