Refashion: Rusty orange cardigan

Orange is one of my favorite colors to wear during the Summer. I've had this cardigan for a while and although it was already orange it wasn't my favorite shade yet, so I bought some dye and I dyed it a shade darker. I was actually going for a terra cotta shade but the fabric didn't catch the color, I still like the end result. Hope you all have a terrific week!

the refreshed cardi is so pretty!

i know you've dyed a bunch of things, do you have any issues with the colorfastness... (that's a word?) anyway whenever i've dyed things they always fade horribly after a few washes!

Oooh, I really like the result! When I dye clothes it never comes out quite as nice...
Great dress, too, that print is so lovely :)

Thank you all ladies, Lyddie I haven't had any problems with the color fading, but when I wash my dyed clothes I try to do it with a gentle soap like woolite and I also was it with darker colors, on top of that I air dry the clothes instead of drying in the dryer. =)

You were right to dye it. That deeper color looks amazing on you and I love it with the minty dress. ;) Pretty!

Great colour! I always have a hard time finding orange clothes in the right shade and I never thought of top dying them! I will have to try that out! I love the way it looks with the mint in your dress!
