Kids say the darndest things

Many times at family gatherings I like to share work anecdotes of the kiddos, and I often get asked "how do you keep a straight face?" Well, practice and experience my friends, and a little bit of tongue-biting. There have been times though, when I couldn't help but laugh out loud, because 5 year-olds say the darndest things and most of the times they're not trying to be funny, which makes things even funnier. Just this morning a group of students had a serious conversation about farting (they didn't know I was listening). They quickly pointed each other out for letting wind go, but in the end they all agreed that none of them ever fart, even though my nose often tells me a different story.

Ha ha! I always have to say, "Really? Are farts worth all this commotion? " Sixth graders find farts hilarious.
Cute outfit! I see the sunbeam shining in the window. Nice!

Kids are so funny about farting---and they don't seem to outgrow it---my teenage sons still think it is hilarious!
