Burgundy, white, brown

Ladies I'm really enjoying my new Canon 3T camera, I love taking pictures of others with it, the pictures come out great, however when it comes to taking outfit pictures I just can't get it right yet, I'll get there with more practice, It would be easier if I went outside (better lighting) but I'm terribly shy. Today I'm going to my sister's house to celebrate my mamita's birthday. Hope everyone is enjoying their Saturday!
I love this belt, it's 5 little belts buckled all around the waist.

Cream & Black

Hi pretty ladies, I'm excited about weather cooling down, this morning it was just a bit cold but by the end of the day the temperatures had dropped even more. I'm obsessed with red lipstick! The only thing I don't like about it is worrying that I have it on my teeth (not a good look) so I'm often checking my teeth just to make sure I'm okay.  This weekend I have a skirt refashion planned, can't wait to show you!

Pearls & Stripes

What are three things in your closet that you could not do without? For me it's skirts, red shoes and faux pearls. I love faux pearls as much as I love chocolate, I'd love real pearls too but I can't afford them hehe. I have many variations of faux pearl necklaces but I can't stop buying them again and again, not long ago I bought a three strand necklace on Etsy, it should be on it's way and I'm so excited. I love wearing faux pearls, in my opinion they are the definition of charm and elegance.
My 2 strand faux pearl necklace I found at the Antique Flea Market.

Less than $7 dollars for the fabric. This is what I wore to church today, my son and I are on our way to my mom's house for lunch, have a great Sunday!

Parochial Girl

Today I took half day off from work because I had an appointment with my insurance adjustor, on my way home I stopped by the fabric store and got some green corduroy fabric for a skirt that I want to sew this weekend, I can't wait to show you what I have in mind. These last weeks have been pretty tough, being a mother of a pre-teen is not an easy task, teenage years are tough, or so I've heard. On the bright side at least my son gets in trouble at school for reading too much (yes, reading) and not for being defiant or mischievous, we just gotta work on turning in his work and not reading during lecture time. A lady at work gave me a compliment about my outfit, she said I looked like a parochial school girl.

Sunday Best: Pumpkin color refashion

I must have been very tired last night because I fell asleep in the middle of the movie, thank goodness I was at home, but I fell asleep on the couch with my regular clothes on and around 3:00 a.m. I was freaking out because I thought it was a weekday and I was going to be late for work. I hate when that happens, thank God it's Sunday! This is what I'm wearing to church today, I dyed this sweater yesterday while I watched a movie. Hope everyone has a blessed Sunday!

Brown, Red & Black

Hi everyone, today my son and I worked on his science fair research paper, I am so ready to get it done, it's a lot of work. I can't believe back in college I used to love writing research papers. Anyways I did have time to get some sewing done and now I'm going to drink some tea and watch some episodes of I love Lucy. I hope everyone has a pleasant Saturday night.

Sunday Best: Florals for Fall

Today is raining, we needed the rain and I love that kind of weather so I'm very grateful for it. This week I got to refashion this skirt, it was one my friend Clara gave me, it belonged to her granny, everything she gave me has a special meaning to me, oh! and I forgot to mention I did meet the pretty lady(granny), she lived to be 104 years old! I love the velvet fabric and the floral print is perfect for Fall.

Sunday Best: Americana

Happy Sunday everyone! Last night I made this skirt, I had scraps of fabric that I had to sew together here and there to have enough fabric for my skirt, the only thing I wish I had done was add pockets. My son didn't like my hair today, I'm not in love with it either but I wanted to try this hairstyle. What new things have you tried lately? Hope everyone has a great Sunday.
