Skinny Jeans

I don't know if you've noticed but I'm not much of a jeans wearer, I love skirts and dresses because they make me feel very feminine. However, I was curious about skinny jeans so I bought this pair of boot-cut, corduroy, jeans at the thrift store and I used this tutorial to make them into skinny jeans. To keep things modest I wore a loose top and a long sweater. I think it worked really well, I especially liked wearing these jeans with my vintage boots. Next time I'll try a blazer.
I made this necklace, you can find the tutorial here.
Sweater: TJ Maxx
Top: Gap
Jeans: thrifted and refashioned by me
Boots: Vintage/ thrifted
Lipstick: M.A.C. Russian Red
Necklace: DIY

WOW, you look so cute! Good work on the jeans too....you should really accept your inner "skinny", you worked it so well. Your style is so classic and feminine, I'm impressed regularly. :)

I just started wearing jeans more myself and I still find myself more comfortable in skirts! I think I will have to find some longer tops and that might help make me feel more comfortable in jeans! :) I love your outfit, the color of your skinnies are perfect! Love them!

Hi Shey! They look great. I too bought a pair of skinny jeans, being modest and overweight i have only worn them with a long top, but I like them.

Your picture with the flower is so pretty, you are so crafty.

Happy Holidays!

Very cute outfit! And thank you for sharing the tutorial for DIY skinny jeans - I just bought a pair of jeans that fit great at the waist, but the legs are quite baggy, so this gives me a good idea how to fix that!

Shey, Although I do appreciate your wonderful style in skirts & dresses you look great in these skinnies. Last month I made a pair of skinnies from a pair of Chico jeans I got at a consignment store. What I like about making them yourself is that you can customize just how skinny you want them to be. I don't feel like a sausage in them which works better for older gals like me.

PS...I too have some corduroy jeans I got at the thrift store with the same idea! The tutorial you used will be of great help as I've been winging it lately and I don't think they've come out as good.
Thanks!

Amanda :)
