Sunday Best: Pumpkin color refashion

I must have been very tired last night because I fell asleep in the middle of the movie, thank goodness I was at home, but I fell asleep on the couch with my regular clothes on and around 3:00 a.m. I was freaking out because I thought it was a weekday and I was going to be late for work. I hate when that happens, thank God it's Sunday! This is what I'm wearing to church today, I dyed this sweater yesterday while I watched a movie. Hope everyone has a blessed Sunday!
Before
Nothing wrong with it, but it was a bit blah, I want to add more color to my wardrobe.
After
Shirt: BR/ thrifted
Sweater: Charlotte Russe/ old, dyed by me
Skirt: Modcloth
Shoes: Dillards/ old
Pin: vintage
Earrings: vintage/ belonged to mom
Lipstick: Retro Red/ NYC (.93 cents at wal mart)

Happy Sunday, Shey!
You look so pretty with that red lipstick! How smart to dye your sweater such a nice fall color! You look great!
God bless you, good teacher!

Great job---the color is perfect and I love the color pairings in the second outfit.

You are the DIY queen!
I love how gorgeous all the clothes you dye come out. And I must ask, how colorfast are they? That is pretty much my reason for never dying anything, I'm always afraid after half a dozen washes they will look pale and blah.

Thank you all ladies, Lyddie sometimes the dye can fade but I try to take care of the clothes after I dye them, I usually do a gentle cycle and hang them to dry and I also use a gentle detergent and that helps the hue stay dark longer. =)

What a nice change! I love the orange! You've inspired me to hunt down my little boxes of dye and find something that needs spicing up.

Color change refashions are just the best. Orange suits you!

What color/type of dye did you use? I've got a ton of white/off white shirts that are not so white anymore and I'd like to dye them. I love the shade of that sweater, especially with that skirt.

Frances I used terra-cotta color dye but it came out in orange, with dye you never know. =)

YOur sweater was nice before you dyed it, but it is really gorgeous now. I have not tried to dye anything for a long time, back when I did, it never worked out nicely.
Have a great day!
