Today is raining, we needed the rain and I love that kind of weather so I'm very grateful for it. This week I got to refashion this skirt, it was one my friend Clara gave me, it belonged to her granny, everything she gave me has a special meaning to me, oh! and I forgot to mention I did meet the pretty lady(granny), she lived to be 104 years old! I love the velvet fabric and the floral print is perfect for Fall.
Before
After
Shirt: Gap/ thrifted & tailored by me
Belt: J. Crew/ thrifted
Skirt: refashioned by me
Boots: Hunter
Necklace: vintage/ thrifted
The top picture was taken with my regular digital camera, the bottom ones with my SLR, however I have not made the time to read my manual and so the pictures did not come out well, I will start reading that manual tonight! I hope everyone has a blessed week.

What a fashionable grandmother, you are so lucky to have met her and to now have some of her lovely things! You did a beautiful refashion on the skirt.
Love you refashion projects and I think the pictures came out really clear. The first thing I noticed was the difference between the firs and the second one.
I always enjoy seeing you match preppy and ladylike items together.
Very cute refashion! I really must learn how to sew. ^_^
Hello Shey! I saw your guest post in Nina's blog so I came to visit your site. Nice skirt. At first I thought it was below your knees. I remember my grandma also had the same print on one of her clothes.
