Today I'm going shopping, not for me, but for my son, his bedroom set is falling apart, it was one of the cheap ones and he's outgrown it. This summer apart from sewing and refashioning I'm going to re-decorate his room and paint it, that will definitely keep me busy! Thank you all ladies for sharing your opinions on saving, I'm encouraged by your comments.

Yes! I'm so excited for him, we took hours cleaning it up, that boy is a hoarder of books! I'm 3/4 of the way done. Lots of work, the house looks like a mess but I'm sure he'll be very happy with his room now. =D I also bought him a bed and a new dresser since his were in really bad shape. I'll try to use them same things he had to decorate that way I don't spend too much. =D

that pin is a sumptuous colour! and i also like the skirt colour - is that the one you dyed yourself? I'm trying to be smarter with my shopping buying better quality so that it can be used for a long time, and then handed down rather than - used for a short while, broken and then ending up as landfill.
