Hi ladies! First of all thank you for your kind comments! Some of you have complimented my ability to find great things at the thrift store, the reason I find good things is because I'm there every Saturday (I don't have a very exciting life). I guess with all the thrifting experience I have developed a keen eye for details and quality. This weekend I was thrilled when I found a whole wardrobe of vintage dresses at the thrift store, all from the 60's, I guess someone emptied their granny's closet. Most didn't fit my waist but I found 4 that did, this one included. The only complaint I have about this dress it's that it's polyester, thick polyester, but the color makes me feel very happy, so the color won over the fabric.
I was a bit nervious about wearing it because I didn't want to look like I was wearing a costume so I kept everything modern. I survived today's heat by staying inside all day (testing). Who needs a little black dress?! I love my LGD!

I love it so much. Beautiful.
What a great find! Definitely doesn't look costumey the way you styled it.
Very cute and "Mad Men" inpsired! I love that you chose simple pieces to accent the dress more. The red shoes are a perfect pop! I say yes to LGD or LBD (blue)!
Oh how I wish the decades before wore more then polyester! :)
The dress and necklace are awesome - each on their own and together as well. And the flower pin seems to belong exactly where it is, like it has grown there on all that green. It's a pity the fabric is too warm for this kind of weather, because otherwise it's such a perfect spring outfit!
I like your LGD, too! The shoes are very snazzy!
So mod, so fun! And you got the necklace! I'm so happy you found it!!
Sigh. I found a very similar dress at a thrift store; I was so in love with the kelly green color. Unfortunately the shift dress wasn't long enough for me. WWAAHHH! I love your dress. Now I'm going to be on the prowl for a green dress!!

The colour and shape suits you so well, and it definitely doesn't look costume-y!
I would have grabbed that dress up too! It looks absolutely awesome on you!
Love, love, LOVE the dress! The color is awesome and I love the little flower pin you added! I know, I have some vintage dresses that look great in photos but they are really annoying to actually wear because the polyester is INSANELY thick!
Green looks beautiful on you! I adore green. I think the 60s is probably one of the lesser "costumey" looking decades, I think because the garments are not as fussy as the 50s?
okay this is such a lovely dress and i like how you paired it with those shoes! great colors!

Costume looking? No, not really! I like how you paired this green dress with those pink shoes. I would've probably done the same thing!
I love 60s clothing! Lucky that you got so much from the thrift store!
Such a pretty color! I've been trying to find something that shade of green for forever! It looks great.
Hi Shey,
That is a great dress! I love the color and the style. The polyester fabric was wonderful back in the '70's because it was so easy to sew and it never needed ironing, but I am so glad for the modern fabrics that we enjoy today. The dress looks great with your red shoes!
Hugs, Cindy
