Hi everyone, Happy Sunday! I hope everyone is enjoying this awesome day. Today I wore this skirt I refashioned from my friend's granny clothes. I had to make it a pencil skirt because the fabric was not enough to make a full skirt. I like the outcome but it was sooo hard to find a top for it, I'm not pleased even with the one I'm wearing. I barely had enough fabric for a pencil skirt because of the way the fabric was cut so I added the little black part from another old skirt. I'm a bit worried of what my friend will think when she sees what I've done with her granny's skirt, she mentioned how she remembered her grandma wearing it to church on Spring days...and now it doesn't look like her granny's church at all so I'm a bit worried she won't like what I did with it (yikes!).

All those hours walking at the mall and still I didn't wear the shirt I bought, I'm wearing a vintage shirt (sleeves shortened by me) and Rampage shoes.
Hope everyone has a blessed week!

Don't worry! The skirt looks lovely, and my friend always says when someone gives you something it is yours to do with as you please. They no longer get a say. So please don't worry.
I love the skirt, I'm sure your friend will love it and if not she's probably just missing her G-ma. I would love that you gave it new life!
The skirt looks very pretty. The black section is unexpected, but it works!
Don't worry too much about your friend's reaction: I am sure she wouldn't have given the skirt to you if she wanted it to stay as it was!
I think it is fantastic as a pencil skirt - you should definitely go for that silhouette more often!
You did a wonderful job, and the love you put into it will show to your friend. She will love it too!
Awwww..you look wonderful in a pencil skirt. You did a great job, another successful refashion project. :)
