Things to refashion and a very nice surprise

Today I will show you some of the things I thrifted this weekend and things I will be refashioning soon. First I have this circular skirt, I could make competition for Subway guy with this picture. I love the stripe pattern, all I have to do is shorten the hem and cut off excess fabric.
Oh, I also need to remove these sea shells, why on earth would someone put shells on a skirt?
Okay this picture is funny, the way Jingles is looking at the camera is hilarious so I couldn't chop him off. It's almost as if he was saying "Crazy Cat Lady!Someone please call 9-1-1!"
This skirt only needs to be hemmed, polka dots are a must for Spring.
And the best part for last, today I got a surprise package from one of my favorite bloggers, the Waves at No Signposts in the Sea! Thank you Waves! I love the brooches and the beautiful music Chris recorded for me, I'm listening to the CD right now. These kind gestures make my heart all warm inside and definitely make my day much brighter.

WOW, that skirt is gonna give you enough fabric for a vest and shirt if you wanted. Perhaps you could make Jingles a little coat? From one cat lady to another. :) We call our cat Georgie Mr. Jingles because of his collar noise. Polka dots are huge this year!

How lovely! It is always so exciting to get real mail (as in not bills or junk). Look forward to seeing your refashions too.

The skirt is going to look wonderful when it's complete and the polka dot one is already fabulous. What I really can't wait to see is the finished dress!! ;)

ps. I agree the shells are a little weird.. ;/

I cant wait to see what you do with that dress! I love the cat too- so funny!

The polka dot skirt is made of dreams or something! They are such a great size- it seems like so many of the things I find the dots are so tiny... I guess I need to just find the right fabric and make one!
