Sunday Best: Back to the beginning

A year ago, I don't remember when exactly but I know it was in March I started posting pictures in Flickr's Wardrobe Remix, and this was one of the first outfits I wore, a year later I'm wearing it again. This skirt is the first one I ever made from leftover silk from some curtains my mom made. You could say it's a modern version of Scarlett O'hara huh?
I can't wait to see the next Diary of a Wimpy Kid movie, I love Rowley, the kid is hilarious!

Outfit Details:

That is a GREAT outfit. Oh my goodness. I love it! : )
I felt the same way about Rango. All of their mouths must have been very dry! I couldn't figure out the over all message of this movie. It might have been a little too deep for me!

Oooh, I love this skirt! The fabric is so beautiful!

Despicable Me is what I'm comparing all children's movies to now too. Megamind didn't quite do it for me.

Megamind was good but definitely not as good as Despicable, I didn't like Brad's part in the movie, it was like he wasn't even trying, his character was boring.
Rango's message? Maybe a little Lizzard who's trying to find out who he is? Also there were a lot of vulgar slang in Spanish, thank God my son is not that fluent) the only character that was good was Depp's part, the other characters were boring. Johnny Depp was good at playing his part. =)

As far as computer generated animation films go, my favorite is the incredibles. favorite classic animation is either 101 dalmatians or aladin.

I'm really loving the color of the skirt, and the pin on the blazer. the chain makes it super awesome.

This skirt is *AMAZING*- it looks wonderful with the blue stripped shirt!

I went and saw Rango as well. I didnt hate it, but I didnt love love it. I think part of the reason I like it was because it took place in the desert, which has such a soft place in my heart! The texture in the animation was epic either way...

Diary of a Wimpy Kid is such a good movie! We own it now on DVD, and I knew that I wanted to see it right when I saw the preview. I must warn you though that they show a cover of an adult magazine repeatedly in this, but it's not TOO bad I guess. I just wish they didn't have to do that. Anyway, I still recommend seeing it.

I do like the fabric of your skirt! I was going to turn an old curtain into a shawl too, but I haven't really done that yet.

A modern Scarlett O'Hara, indeed. Gorgeous skirt.
Also, I feel so out of it because I haven't even heard of Rango before today. I guess that's what I get for (a) not having tv (b) not getting any radio stations and (c) being without Internet for a few days.
As far as animated movies, I haven't seen Despicable Me, but I did really enjoy Up. I have to admit, though, that of the old school animation movies, I still love Beauty and the Beast and Anastasia (though I have to fast forward through a lot of the Rasputin parts of Anastasia because I'm a huge chicken).
