Hi there! I'm back, I'm on my way to my friend's house to look at her grandma's clothes, hopefully I'll find some goodies. I am finished cleaning my closet and I feel better about it, except I still need some solids in there. This is how I tailored the skirt to fit me, it reminds my of Beetle Juice's suit maybe because it's an identical pattern, good thing I always keep clean, did you ever watch the cartoon? He was always stinky.

Too big, too long, I've decided long skirts are not my thing, I don't like floor length that much.
Shells on skirt.

Better fitting, flattering length, and I have to say I love my new skirt, sewing has kept me pretty busy so I haven't been shopping as much, which is good.
I'm wearing my skirt with thrifted shirt, thrifted belt, and Gianni Bini shoes oh a vintage necklace from my friend's granny.

Haha, I don't think I would have made the jump to Beetle juice, but I do love the finished skirt. Good riddance to those silly shells!
You're really talented at the sewing machine! Your 'maritime' skirt from a few posts ago is absolutely gorgeous!
As far as this one is concerned, I'm probably the only person here who would have even liked the longer version with the shells (and to be honest, especially with the shells...), but I have to admit that the new length is perfect for it. It works better with the pattern and highlights your red shoes which look great with it!
Lol, I don't remember that cartoon, but I can't forget the movie. You skirt looks way better then his suit. Great job! Love the shoes!!
Your vision and talent are simply amazing. Love this transformation.
