Sunday Best: Men's braces

Happy Sunday everyone! Today is Super Bowl day, not that I know anything about football but I'm still going to meet with church frieds to watch it, I thought about learning how to knit, this would have been a good time to do it if I knew how to. The Super bowl is being held in my neighbor city (Arlington) and they play football that's all I know about Super Bowl. Changing the subject, do you ever take time to reflect on life? I haven't lately, but I think it's a great idea, something I look forward to doing more often.

Today's outfit is so different from yesterday's super girly one. I had been looking for men's suspenders (braces ) for some time and I finally found the perfect braided leather ones for $1.19 at Goodwill, I had to sew the buttons to my skirt this morning. I tried to balance the look of this outfit by keeping everything simple with a few feminine touches like the hair and the orchid pin on my collar and of course the girly skirt.

I hope everyone has a wonderful blessed Sunday and thank you all for your kind comments. God bless!

This outfit is adorable!! I love the braces. I just wanted to stop by and say hi because I've been reading your blog for awhile and I love your style. Also, I am pretty sure we live in the same city! :)

I love the braces! I actually have some of my grandfather's old braces, I might start wearing them!

I think you look perfect! I wonder if they pick Texas for the super bowl because it is warm there. You said it is freezing right now though, right? I tried to watch and then I had to give up.. All that violence! I see too much of that in the living room when the boys are wrestling!

I love this look! I just read you previous post, and I totally get the quitting thing. I'm participating in the 30 for 30 Challenge utilizing an entire collection from Goodwill. I feel limited as well, but I want to stick with it, because I need to exercise my imagination and I'm getting some good press for the charity. With suffering comes good. ; )

Those suspenders are awesome! All the ones I see are always cheap elastic but I love how delicate they are where they attach!

I love that skirt!

You always find great buys at thrift stores. I never knew they were called braces....

This is the kind of outfit I would wear if button up shirts and I got along. And if I had braces. So, I guess I wouldn't wear it after all, but I would dream about wearing something like this. ;) Love the menswear vibe.
