Yes ladies, some things just don't need to be messed with, like this beautiful skirt. I almost went with the word of the lady who said it was "too small" and then I thought "well, she's got big hips, I wonder if..." So I tried it on as it was and I loved it. Cutting the skirt would make it loose all it's enchantment. It's a risky business wearing a long skirt (and white) for me, I didn't know if I could pull it off but I feel awesome in it. I also did the turban wrap around my hair because I don't want any hairs on my face on this hot day. The skirt is very airy through the holes of the lace and it's cotton and so is the top, perfect summer outfit.

Today I'm heading off to "work" in my classroom. I'm a very organized person and I like everything neat and clean. I'm the type of obnoxious(?) friend that will start picking up and folding your clothes from the floor. Any clean freaks like me out there? =D

Okay ladies as promised here is the tutorial I wanted to share with you! I've been hunting for sweater clips at estate sales and thrift stores for a long time with no luck...and then my lightbulb went on! I decided to make my own and you can do it too!

Here's what you need:
clip earrings
pearl necklace
glue gun
plyers
a bit of ribbon or other fabric

Beautiful ladies this is not the tutorial I had planned, but it is what I did tonight (I'm planning on wearing this awesome skirt tomorrow). I will do the other tutorial by tomorrow or Saturday because I will need it for Sunday's outfit.
I thrifted this skirt today and it just stole my heart...yeap, and then I remembered I have one similar to this already, only this is a full skirt and what I have is an A-line skirt.

Okay ladies, I decided to do a tutorial for those who are like me, sewing beginners, savvy seamstress please bare with me and my lack of sewing tools and lack of sewing terms. I only use what I have in hand which is not much, so here it goes, I hope you get the idea of how to do it at least.

I love that quote by Erin Gruwell, she was the guest speaker at our district a few years ago. Since my house's wood floor is not blooming my skirt will have to do. Today I'm heading over to the school and getting my classroom ready for the school year, a bit early? Yes! Eager? Not really, but I want to do it in advance, that way I can have a break in between! Genious huh? When I go back to work (I teach kinder) I won't have to be running around to get the classroom ready! I'll sit in my chair, sip on some ice cold water (I don't like coffee) while I watch stressed out teachers running back and forth trying to have it all set up in one day.

Hi lovely ladies! Today I bring you a refashion I did on this red dress. When I bought it I loved the bright red color, I put in in my refashion basket and it stayed there for over a year! Well a few days ago I finally got to work on it because I want to clean up my refashion basket before the summer break is over.

Hello lovely ladies, the sun shines brighter and  yesterday I got to thrift, sew, hit the gym amd go out for a run. My chest is very sore from chest presses and running was not comfy at all! Today I'm wearing a slip as a skirt. It's one I thrifted a few weeks ago but was a bit long so I shortened it. I totally love it! I saw a a video at the Spanish blog Lovely Pepa on how to do an "Ensaimada" (a high bun) so I decided to try it, I think I like it, it's something different, I always wear buns but not that high.

Today I'm having some friends from church over for lunch, I can't cook that well and these ladies are awesome cooks, so I will have to cheat and buy something already made that I can put in the oven and take the credit for ;) I'm sure they rather have that than anything I cook.

Well this is how it looks now, unfortunately I didn't sew the pockets back because I couldn't figure out how! and I had no patience left, so I left them out, but I will get back to them because a skirt without pockets doesn't feel right.
