Wherever kindergarten teachers walk flowers bloom

I love that quote by Erin Gruwell, she was the guest speaker at our district a few years ago. Since my house's wood floor is not blooming my skirt will have to do. Today I'm heading over to the school and getting my classroom ready for the school year, a bit early? Yes! Eager? Not really, but I want to do it in advance, that way I can have a break in between! Genious huh? When I go back to work (I teach kinder) I won't have to be running around to get the classroom ready! I'll sit in my chair, sip on some ice cold water (I don't like coffee) while I watch stressed out teachers running back and forth trying to have it all set up in one day.

Really cute outfit - love the skirt! You're super good to go in early and set up classroom, but I know what you mean about low-stress preparation. Have fun today!

I love the pattern of that skirt, at first glance it looks like your average floral pattern, but up=close it looks more like edgy pixel art. You're so good at thrifting!

Love the outfit!
I've always thought it'd be so much fun to decorate an elementary school classroom. My students are all too old to appreciate theme bulletin boards.

I love the close up of the pattern on your skirt! Lovely.

I think it sounds like a good idea getting your class room ready early :)

Setting up the classroom sounds like a really fun part of the job! I like to (try) to get things done early as well. I hate the feel of a looming deadline.

Thanks ladies, well guess what, someone has not been working their hours like I should (clearing throat, custodians) so the school was closed, I really hate when people do that, no one is watching so no need to work huh? Well tomorrow I will try again, they should be there but since no ones watching there's no guarantee.

I love this outfit! That is such an excellent floral print and the soft blue top with the little white keds and your hair in a top knot... it's all so adorable, with a very cool casual Swedish chic vibe to it :)

Good luck getting into your classroom!

What a fun outfit! So relaxed and comfy yet chic :) I don't like coffee that much either. I love water! Who doesn't?

cute! I taught HS and MS for 7 years and always was at school setting up early in the summer ... otherwise I wouldn't be able to sleep during inservice week with all the things I would have to do!
