Hello lovely ladies, the sun shines brighter and yesterday I got to thrift, sew, hit the gym amd go out for a run. My chest is very sore from chest presses and running was not comfy at all! Today I'm wearing a slip as a skirt. It's one I thrifted a few weeks ago but was a bit long so I shortened it. I totally love it! I saw a a video at the Spanish blog Lovely Pepa on how to do an "Ensaimada" (a high bun) so I decided to try it, I think I like it, it's something different, I always wear buns but not that high.
I'm also wearing another slip under the top slip because it was a bit see-through.
Later I will show you all the things I thrifted yesterday!
Outfit Details:100% thrifted
Top slip: unknown/shortened by me $4
Vintage belt: flea market $1
Pumps: Qpid / $7
Linen shirt: $4

you look so cute! I love the touch of red ^.^
I love the skirt (slip)!! :) What a fantastic idea. The high bun is also really cute, I love doing those in my hair! :)
Gorgeous! What a lovely idea!
You look beautiful! I love the slip as a skirt. I never would have guessed it was a slip from your pictures. Such a romantic look!
spontaneously I'd say this is the prettiest outfit you ever wore(I said 'spontaneously' because if I thought about it longer I'd probably pick 100 outfits to be your best outfit ever!).It is simply perfect with the red-pop-colour-shoes and the belt looks so perfect with the great skirt!Ahh man,how good you look.
And about the Ensaimada:I just tried doing it as the girl from the Lovely Pepa blog.I used to wear a high bun everyday but now it seems my hair's gotten thinner so I tried it the way she did and it looks quite good. But it looks very, very good on you!I think I've never seen you with your hair up before.
I will answer your comment later, sorry I didn't before, but there's simply too much going on,a reason why I'm not blogging these days. Will you send me the Enchiladas recipe one day? Hhihi
You look lovely! Your take on the high bun looks wonderful. I see a lot of Finnish girls doing it here in Helsinki, but for the most part they don't have the hair for it. You do - it looks super cute on you!
Thank you ladies, I had a bit of a hard time taming the hair down I guess because I didn't want to use the blow dryer or volumizer mousse or spray but I liked the end result, I just got a bit of a headache because my hair is not used to being up there so high but nothing a little aspirin can't take away. WOrks wonderful for the super hot weather we are experiencing!
Oh, I love the slip as a skirt ... it's so pretty and feminine! And thrifting, sewing AND running all in one day? Ah, bliss!! good for you! I'm in central texas and ran today at 9:30 ... ech, hot.
Oh I love ! It's very beautiful ! I want the same skirt :)
love it! Those red pumps are beautiful! And I especially love the balance between the overtly girly skirt and simple blouse!
I love this! I've been wanting a denim shirt, and you've inspired me to finally go out an get one! Great blog!
Loving The Reflection
Oh my goodness. That looks just lovely. I love the hair also. You are so pretty. Very, very beautiful : )
Thank you all ladies, I love it so much when I read the wonderful comments!
Courtney thrifting is the best! =D
Your slip/skirt is so pretty -- it's great to let it be the focal point rather than just the laying element.
Chic on the Cheap
Oh how lovely! :) You've been refashioning a lot of your thrift treasures. So crafty. It's a nice little "poof" skirt from that slip!
Nice high bun! Ensaimada is a type of pastry among Filipinos. Is is the same among Hispanics?
Love the skirt, adore the photos.
Wow. You're so beautiful. That slip is gorgeous. WOW!
Who takes your pictures?
So I don't get it, WHY Wear a Sheer Skirt if you are going to ad layers and layers of slips???
If the point is not to show the legs silhouette then why is it okay to wear shorts and there is no problem with showing bear skin legs not only silhouette, Someone please Explain to me. Thank you
