Okay when you looked at this picture I know you laughed because I did too. I was just back from the gym and still had the tennis shoes on, I wasn't intending to look like the Texas church group that was all over the news a few years ago on purpose. But Anyways I bought this dress at the thrift store because it is the cotton I like and I loved the flower pattern,I hesitated buying it because I am tired of piling up stuff that I don't fix up, but this dress had something special. I didn't see this...
I saw this!
All I did was cut off the sleeves and use some lace for the trim around the sleeves and new neckline and chop off a couple of inches from the hem.
I was thinking about making the sleeves short but it didn't look well, so I just made it sleeveless so that I can wear it comfortably under alight cardigan.

You did such an amazing job updating that dress!
And it's true, it's very easy to accumulate a huge pile of things you have to fix up and then ignore it.
But I'm happy to see this one, it was worth it!

Oh my goodness I love it! This makes me wish I could sew...haha ;D
take the shoes and find some gravel and then rub the soles in the gravel. Or you can put strips of masking tape on the bottom until the "slipperyness" is over.
Love the sundress
