Hello lovely ladies! For some reason my brain woke up at 5:30 a.m. today and then I could not fall asleep again, I listened quietly to the rain and turned and tossed until finally my stomach started growling, I ate breakfast with lots of fiber (much needed for those of us who are over 30) and then after a few minutes of trying to convince myself to stay home I headed to the gym.
Remember yesterday my "window shopping"? well I didn't just window shop, I bought this headband at Ross for $3.99.
Since it's raining the slip is back...and falling out (not on purpose) =P
Outfit details:
Shirt: United Colors of Benetton / garage sale ($1)

Love the colors of the dress!
Your abuelita sounds like a really sweet person! Wish my grandma was still alive. She was a very pretty lady who knew her fashion! She wasn't much of a cook, but I have my other grandma for that! I love enchiladas. They are probably my favorite Spanish food! Did you ever acquire your grandma's recipe! She should've passed it on to you as a family secret :)
I like the combo of the green, pink, and tan of the belt. So sweet!
Your dress is very beautiful !
And thanks for your comment on my blog, I didn't know that you understand french ! :)
Adorable! You're amazing.
Thank you ladies! =D
Thank you Jennifer! You are the one that's amazing, always inspiring me with your posts!
The dress layered over a white button up shirt, is such an unexpected and fresh combination. Your headband is super cute too, the color reminds me of bougainvillea vines!
Also, your childhood memories of time spent at your abuelita's house are just about the sweetest thing I've ever heard :)
p.s. Clover loves the story Chrysanthemum too! :D
Your headband is gorgeous!
I love that dress!!
and i hate waking up too early. that's the worst. bad enough waking up early when you have to!
Chic on the Cheap
aaawww!!! adorable headband love!
I love the idea of showing modest outfits! So very thrifty and creative. And a great excuse to get dressed up. I just might have to post some pics of myself as you have encouraged me!
Delighted to stop by today. I hope you don't mind if I splash around a bit to get to know you. THis looks like a nice place to slip off my shoes and soak in serious goodness.
Splashin,
Sara
Dear Sara thank you so much for your kind comment and I do hope you will visit me again =) God bless you.
I love the dress! It's so bright and cheery and looks great combined with the belt!
I absolutely love the vibrant, joyful colors of your dress! it looks fresh and summery.
I have really enjoyed browsing your blog these past few days because you have a lovely style and I like the idea of modest fashion. It isn't an idea you hear promoted too much so it's refreshing to know there are others who strive to dress attractively but modestly.:)
Anyway, have a great day,
Colleen
Thank you Colleen for you sweet comment, I believe modesty is a beautiful thing, it's one way we represent our Lord and really we don't lack style just because we dress modestly. =)
