Today I finally got out my gym clothes and dressed presentable. I'm going to a few thrift stores and then maybe lunch. Hope everyone has a delightful day.

The last day of school was Friday, I spent the last hours hugging my kiddos. I'm going to miss them. Tomorrow I have to go to work to pack up everything and I'll be done for this school year. This is what I wore to church today, the weather has been very nice these days, warm but not muggy, if this is what Summer will be like this year then I might love it.

I thrifted this dress  a couple of years ago to refashion it. This is what it looked like when I first bought it, I liked the soft cotton fabric and the full skirt.

Only eight more days till Summer break. I am excited to have more time to sew, work on crafts, refashion and go to thrift stores, but most of all I am excited about being able to sleep late. When I was a child/teen my mom never let me sleep late, even on weekends. So these days whenever I sleep late I feel like a rebel.

I've had this dress for a while and I was trying to convince myself to put it in the donation box, but I really like the French inspired print so I gave it one more chance. I tried wearing it as a skirt but it didn't work, I think it looks better under a cardigan.
I recently rediscovered this vintage pendant of my baby picture, I don't know if it's weird to wear my baby picture, but if I don't it will remain stored in a box.

Today is warm and humid so I wore something comfortable and I didn't bother to straighten my hair. With the humidity we are experiencing it's pointless. My "secret" to waking up with curls is washing my hair the night before and sleeping with damp hair, then the next day it's all curled and all I have to do is fix the ends. I wouldn't call it a secret though, just pure laziness.
